The EIMC, the WHI improvisation group, the CMRC (ΚΣΥΜΕ), and the Athens Conservatoire co-organize the International European Intuitive Music Conference in Athens. 
From September 16 to September 20, 2026, the Athens Conservatoire will host this international gathering of improvisers, designed as a living, breathing community centered around free improvisation and open scores. Musicians, artists, and researchers from around the world will come together in the same space to play, share thoughts, and collaborate in a supportive and inspiring environment. The conference program features open discussions, and experiential workshops, alongside collective improvisation sessions where participating musicians play and experiment together. Furthermore, a creative workshop for children will introduce young minds to the magic of spontaneity and sound, while the entire experience will be complemented by live concerts open to the public. About EIMC
The EIMC (European Intuitive Music Conference), started out as the Danish Intuitive Music Conference (DIMC) in 1995. Since then, its mission has been to bring improvising musicians, composers, and other performing artists together internationally for creative sessions, workshops, and both formal and informal exchanges and discussions. EIMC follows the tradition of integrating diverse backgrounds, meaning that beginners and academic specialists are equally welcome, and participation fees are kept low. The conference does not offer paid gigs or paid workshops, highly valuing informal collaborations and learning from each other instead. The event is run by an international organizing team with experience in a wide range of fields, including expert WHI members from Athens. The programme is designed to encourage participation in all events whilst also facilitating informal interaction among all attendees.

The WHI ensemble was formed in 2017 in Athens, emerging from the improvisation and experimental music workshops led by Alexis Porfiriadis. The group specializes in the performance of experimental music scores featuring verbal and graphic notation, as well as free improvisation. Τέσσερις καλλιτέχνες θα παρουσιάσουν την πρακτική τους, που είναι βασισμένη σε DIY ιδιοσυγκρασιακά όργανα, επαναχρησιμοποιημένα υλικά, NIMEs, τεχνικές performance και ηχητικής εξερεύνησης, καθώς και νέες προσεγγίσεις στη μουσική σημειογραφία.
- Circuit sniffing και φυσική μοντελοποίηση - το project Optical Scores, με υποστήριξη από το Πρόγραμμα Τέχνης και Πολιτισμού του Nordic Culture Point.
- Magnetic Interaction για τον έλεγχο αλγορίθμων νευρωνικής σύνθεσης ήχου με το όργανο

Ο Áki Ásgeirsson είναι συνθέτης και καλλιτέχνης πολυμέσων από το Garður της Ισλανδίας. Έχει γράψει μουσική για παραδοσιακά όργανα καθώς και έχει σχεδιάσει νέα ακουστικά όργανα, λογισμικό ήχου, όργανα ελεγχόμενα από υπολογιστή και ηχητικές εγκαταστάσεις. Ο Áki δραστηριοποιείται στην ισλανδική πειραματική μουσική/καλλιτεχνική σκηνή ως συνθέτης, καλλιτέχνης ήχου και ερμηνευτής. Με υπόβαθρο στον ελεύθερο αυτοσχεδιασμό, την ηλεκτρονική μουσική, τον καλλιτεχνικό κώδικα και την αλγοριθμική μουσική, ο Þóranna Dögg Björnsdóttir συνεργάζεται συχνά με άλλους καλλιτέχνες διαφόρων πεδίων. Είναι μέλος της συλλογικότητας συνθετών S.L.Á.T.U.R. και συνδιοργανώνει το φεστιβάλ RAFLOST για ηλεκτρονική τέχνη.

Η Þóranna Dögg Björnsdóttir είναι μια καλλιτέχνιδα με έδρα το Ρέικιαβικ της Ισλανδίας. Το έργο της βασίζεται στην αλληλεπίδραση κινηματογραφικών και ζωντανών μουσικών παραστάσεων και παίρνει τη μορφή γλυπτικής, performance και soundwork. Η Þóranna έχει εκθέσει ευρέως το έργο της και έχει εμφανιστεί σε πολυάριθμες συναυλίες και φεστιβάλ τέχνης στην Ισλανδία και διεθνώς. Η Þóranna εργάζεται επίσης ως καλλιτέχνης ήχου και performance με τη διεθνή ομάδα τέχνης Wunderland. Τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει αναλάβει τον ρόλο της επιμελήτριας ατομικών εκθέσεων και το 2020 συνεπιμελήθηκε την μπιενάλε τέχνης Sequences X με τίτλο «Time has come». 

Ο Arni Valur δραστηριοποιείται σε διάφορες σκηνές ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής από τα τέλη της δεκαετίας του '90 μέσω σόλο και συνεργατικών projects. Η πρακτική του Árni Valur τα τελευταία χρόνια κυμαίνεται μεταξύ σύνθεσης μουσικής ταινίας, πειραματικής παραγωγής βίντεο και αυτοσχεδιαστικής performance.

Ο Στέφανος Σκιαλίβας είναι καλλιτέχνης και μουσικός τεχνολόγος με έδρα το Ρέικιαβικ, ο οποίος εργάζεται στο σημείο τομής ανάπτυξης οργάνων και performance. Με υπόβαθρο στα μαθηματικά μηχανικής και τη μουσική τεχνολογία, αναπτύσσει DIY διεπαφές για αλληλεπίδραση με νευρωνική σύνθεση ήχου, συστήματα ανάδρασης και φυσική μοντελοποίηση. Αυτή τη στιγμή συνεργάζεται ως βοηθός έρευνας με το Intelligent Instrument Lab και το Acute Haptics Lab στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Ισλανδίας.
